On March 5, 2026, a meeting was held between Director Gulnar Shaimergenova and a delegation of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, led by Chen Lei, Deputy Director of the Department of Europe and Central Asia. The meeting was also attended by Hao Xiaosong, Head of Division of the Department of Europe and Central Asia of the CPAFFC, and Cai Yunzhe, staff member of the Department of Europe and Central Asia of the CPAFFC.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of humanitarian and expert cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, as well as opportunities for implementing joint initiatives in the fields of public diplomacy, academic exchanges, and expert dialogue. Particular attention was given to the role of the China Studies Center in strengthening mutual understanding and expanding partnership ties between the expert and analytical communities of the two countries.
