The China Studies Center welcomed a delegation from CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure, 中国知网) – the largest national knowledge database in China, headed by Mr. Yang Xiaohui, Deputy General Manager of Tongfang Digital.
During the meeting, a substantive discussion was held on the prospects for cooperation in the fields of science, education, and analytical research. Particular attention was paid to expanding academic dialogue, launching joint research projects, exchanging publications and analytical materials, as well as creating new opportunities for Kazakhstani scholars and experts to study contemporary developments in China.
CNKI is the leading Chinese electronic database covering virtually all areas of scientific knowledge. Its collection includes millions of publications: academic journals, dissertations, monographs, conference proceedings, reference works, and statistical materials. CNKI plays a key role in providing researchers and think tanks with access to up-to-date information and serves as an important tool for analyzing socio-economic and political processes in China.
The visit of the CNKI delegation to the China Studies Center marked an important step in strengthening scientific and expert cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. Collaboration with CNKI opens up broad prospects for integrating Kazakhstani specialists into the global academic space and contributes to deepening mutual understanding between our two countries.
