The Director of the China Studies Center, Gulnar Shaimergenova met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kazakhstan, Han Chunlin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to strengthening Kazakhstan-China cooperation and outlined potential areas for further collaboration. Special attention was given to advancing partnership within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, including projects in the fields of the green economy, regional connectivity, culture, and youth cooperation.

 

The participants also exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations. The Ambassador emphasized the important role of the China Studies Center in fostering people-to-people diplomacy and enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries, highlighting the readiness of the Chinese side to support initiatives aimed at developing friendly and mutually beneficial ties.

 

Gulnar Shaimergenova, in turn, expressed her appreciation for the constructive cooperation and underscored the importance of building trust and maintaining open dialogue as the foundation for implementing joint initiatives.

 

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect and a shared commitment to expanding partnership, reaffirming the strategic nature of relations between Kazakhstan and China.
