Beijing, March 18 / Xinhua/ — Xu Qiliang and Zhang Yuxia were confirmed as deputy chairmen of the Central Military Council /Central Military Commission/ of the People’s Republic of China on Sunday at the ongoing 1st session of the NPC of the 13th convocation.
About 3,000 deputies of the NPC supported their candidacies for the posts of deputy chairmen of the Central Committee of the People’s Republic of China, nominated by the Chairman of the Central Committee of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
By voting, Wei Fenghe, Li Zocheng, Miao Hua and Zhang Shengmin were approved as members of the Central Committee of the People’s Republic of China.
The new vice-chairmen and members of the Central Committee of the People’s Republic of China took the oath of allegiance to the country’s Constitution on Sunday.
Xu Qiliang, born in March 1950, is currently a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee of the 19th convocation, deputy chairman of the CPC Central Military Council.
Zhang Yuxia, born in July 1950, is a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee of the 19th convocation, deputy chairman of the CPC Central Military Council.
