KAZAKH EDITION OF XI JINPING’S THE GOVERNANCE OF CHINA PRESENTED IN ASTANA

On May 29, 2025, the Kazakh edition of the four-volume work by President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, The Governance of China, was presented. This event marked an important milestone in the development of cultural, scientific, and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.

The ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balaeva, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee Hu Heping, Deputy Chairman of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission of China Guo Weiping, Director of the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration Du Zhanyuan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Kazakhstan Han Chunlin, as well as representatives from the scientific, educational, and diplomatic communities of both countries.

Aida Balaeva emphasized that Kazakhstan and China share a deep strategic partnership and expressed confidence that the Kazakh edition of Xi Jinping’s book would help Kazakh readers better understand the political, economic, and social transformations taking place in China. She stressed the importance of exchanging advanced governance experience and knowledge, especially in the context of rapid global changes.

Xi Jinping: The Governance of China is a unique collection of the Chinese President’s speeches, articles, and interviews, reflecting the country’s key ideas, principles, and policy directions in state building, international cooperation, and sustainable development. To date, this work has been translated into more than 40 languages, underscoring its international significance.

The event concluded with a symbolic ceremony of presenting copies of the book to participants and experts, as well as an exchange of views on the importance of Kazakh-Chinese cooperation in governance, education, and culture. Particular attention was given to the prospects for further deepening ties between scientific and educational centers of the two countries.

In her speech, Director of the China Studies Center Gulnar Shaimergenova emphasized that the Kazakh edition of Xi Jinping’s book opens new horizons for mutual understanding and dialogue. “It is very important for Kazakhstan to study China’s experience, as our country is also undergoing active modernization and reforms. China demonstrates a unique development path that combines traditions and innovations, national characteristics, and global thinking. We hope this edition will become a valuable tool for all those interested in how modern China builds its future and how it envisions its place in the world community,” said Shaimergenova.
