March 16, “People’s Daily” online — According to information received from the Research Institute of Archeology on March 14, the ruins of Tachishigou found last year were recognized as an ancient Neolithic settlement that existed 8000 years ago.
According to scientists, the ruins of Tachishigou are located 8 km from the famous ruins of the primitive Chahai tribe of the Neolithic era. So far, 12 buildings and 2 moats have been found. All the ruins of the buildings are semi-dugouts of rectangular shape with a depth of approximately 40 cm.
During the excavations, a large number of ceramic and stone remains were discovered, including 400 ceramic jugs of various shapes, most of which have patterns on the outside, more than 600 large stone vessels, as well as 8 jade axes.
Experts noted that the ruins of Tachishigou have the same cultural features as the ancient graying of Chahai, which played an important role in the early formation of Chinese culture. This is reported by the website “Huanquan”.
