The 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China has opened in the People’s Assembly House in Beijing. Xi Jinping made a report on behalf of the CPC Central Committee of the 19th convocation, in which he called the main goal of the party the achievement of the second centennial goal, that is, the construction of a modernized socialist state by the centennial anniversary of the People’s Republic of China in 2049.
